}Get a call
Fetch the latest call state after an event or when displaying a conversation in your integration. Requires calls:read. The path identifier is the callSid string, not the numeric id returned in collection rows. Access remains limited to the key’s workspace and permitted owners.
The response includes disposition, talk time, original list attribution and permitted evidence. Add recordings:read or transcripts:read to receive their contents; otherwise the respective state is restricted. With permission, unavailable can mean delayed, uncaptured or removed evidence. Re-fetch after evidence-ready events. Also handle call.disposition_updated: disposition-only edits do not advance the call’s updatedAt field.
404 not_found deliberately covers missing, inaccessible and unattributed calls. A malformed identifier returns 400 invalid_request. A recording marked available is a stored reference, not a playback guarantee; its URL can still be null. This read can be retried after transient failures without an idempotency key.
See evidence handling.
